Business Analyst/Techno-Functional Subject Matter Expert - BFSI

Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced Business Analyst / Techno-Functional Subject Matter Expert (SME) with strong knowledge of Treasury operations and financial market products, particularly Fixed Income, Money Market, and Foreign Exchange (FX).

The candidate will be responsible for understanding business requirements, analysing treasury processes, coordinating with stakeholders, and supporting functional enhancements and process improvements across treasury operations.

Key Responsibilities:

- Gather, analyse, and document business requirements related to treasury operations and financial products.

- Provide subject matter expertise in Fixed Income, Money Market, and Foreign Exchange (FX).

- Understand the complete trade lifecycle, including trade booking, confirmation, settlement, valuation, and accounting.

- Prepare Business Requirement Documents (BRDs), Functional Specification Documents (FSDs), and process workflows.

- Conduct gap analysis and recommend improvements to treasury processes.

- Coordinate with business stakeholders, operations teams, and relevant technical teams to ensure business requirements are met.

- Support functional testing, System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and issue resolution.

- Investigate operational discrepancies and support root-cause analysis.

- Collaborate with front office, middle office, back office, risk, finance, and operations teams.

- Support treasury process enhancements, system implementation, and regulatory changes.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

- 4 - 20 years of relevant experience in Treasury, Banking, Financial Services, or Capital Markets.

- Strong understanding of Treasury products, processes, and trade lifecycle management.

- Knowledge of one or more of the following areas:

1. Fixed Income: Bonds, government securities, yields, pricing, and settlement.

2. Money Market: Deposits, borrowings, repos, and short-term funding instruments.

3. Foreign Exchange: Spot, forwards, swaps, and FX settlement.

- Experience in business analysis, functional consulting, treasury operations, or a techno-functional role.

- Strong requirement-gathering, documentation, and stakeholder-management skills.

- Analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.

- Excellent communication and coordination skills.

Preferred Candidate Profile:

- Experience in banking, financial services, treasury operations, or capital markets.

- Exposure to treasury platforms, financial products, or treasury process transformation.

- Ability to bridge business requirements and functional implementation.

- Strong understanding of financial markets and treasury workflows.
