Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Branch Manager role based in Barshi. The Branch Manager will oversee branch operations, including managing loan applications, approvals within delegated authority, and timely disbursements while ensuring adherence to company policies and regulatory guidelines. The role involves leading and mentoring branch staff, setting performance targets, monitoring productivity, and supporting professional development. The Branch Manager will develop and execute local business development strategies, build relationships with customers and community stakeholders, and drive portfolio growth with a focus on asset quality and customer satisfaction. Daily responsibilities also include reviewing collections, managing risk, maintaining accurate documentation and reports, and coordinating with regional and head office teams to align branch performance with organizational goals.
Qualifications

• Proven experience in branch operations or retail lending, preferably in NBFCs or banking, with strong knowledge of credit processes and collections.
• Demonstrated leadership and people management abilities, including team supervision, performance monitoring, and staff coaching.
• Strong customer relationship management skills, with the ability to engage diverse customer segments such as small business owners and self-employed individuals.
• Solid analytical and numerical skills for assessing creditworthiness, monitoring branch metrics, and preparing performance reports.
• Effective communication and negotiation skills, including the ability to explain financial products clearly and handle conflict respectfully.
• Proficiency in basic computer applications and digital tools used for loan processing, documentation, and reporting.
• Graduate degree in finance, commerce, business administration, or a related field; a postgraduate qualification or MBA is an added advantage.
• Understanding of local markets in and around Barshi, with willingness to travel locally for customer visits and field verification.
• High level of integrity, accountability, and commitment to responsible lending and ethical business practices.
