BI Analyst

Job Description

We are seeking a BI Analyst with strong experience in business intelligence, automation, and a strong understanding of accounting and financial processes. This role will focus on building automated data solutions, delivering actionable insights, and supporting multiple departments with their financial reporting needs.

Key Responsibilities

* Design, build, and maintain enterprise-wide interactive dashboards and reports using tools like Tableau or Sigma

* Analyze large datasets to identify product performance trends, consumer behaviors, and operational opportunities

* Perform data validation, reconciliation, and anomaly detection to ensure data integrity

* Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end reporting processes

* Collaborate closely with data engineering teams to augment existing data structures, build out data dictionaries, and validate data accuracy

* Collaborate with stakeholders across the Accounting and Finance teams to identify critical metrics, gather reporting requirements, and define clean business logic

* Participate in Agile practices to communicate data dependencies and ensure metrics mirror our shifting business priorities

Required Qualifications

* 5 years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or financial analytics

* Advanced proficiency in SQL (writing complex queries, windows/analytic functions)

* Deep expertise in BI software (Power BI / Tableau / Sigma / SSRS); Experience with Python or R is a strong asset

* Strong verbal and written communication skills with a proven track record of explaining highly technical insights to non-technical leaders

* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience automating finance or accounting workflows

* Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)

* Experience with data pipelines, APIs, or ETL tools

* Exposure to audit, compliance, or financial controls is a plus
