Role Description The Bar Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Mumbai and is responsible for overseeing daily bar operations. This includes managing bar staff, coordinating work schedules, supervising beverage preparation and presentation, and ensuring compliance with hygiene, safety, and licensing regulations. The Bar Manager monitors inventory, places orders for beverages and supplies, manages stock rotation, and helps design and update beverage menus. The role also involves interacting with guests to ensure a high standard of customer service, addressing concerns promptly, and promoting signature drinks and special offers to increase revenue. The Bar Manager collaborates with restaurant and kitchen teams to support seamless service during peak hours and events, while maintaining accurate records, cash handling procedures, and basic reporting on sales and costs.
Qualifications

• Strong Customer Service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction and handling feedback professionally.
• Hands-on experience in Food & Beverage operations, including bar service, menu understanding, and basic product knowledge of spirits, wines, and cocktails.
• Effective Communication skills for coordinating with staff, interacting with guests, and working with other departments.
• Experience in Training bar staff on service standards, product knowledge, and responsible service practices.
• Sales skills to promote beverages, upsell menu items, and support revenue-generating initiatives.
• Previous experience as a Bar Manager, Supervisor, or similar role in hotels, restaurants, or bars.
• Knowledge of local hygiene, safety, and licensing regulations related to food and alcohol service.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required by business needs.
• Diploma or degree in Hospitality Management or a related field is preferred.
• Proficiency in basic POS systems and cash handling procedures.
