    About this role

    The opportunity

Odessa is seeking a senior product leader to own the end-to-end user experience strategy across the platform. This role will turn product experience into a company-level advantage by combining product management, experience design, customer discovery, analytics, performance, and platform thinking. The leader will move the organization beyond isolated visual improvements toward simpler business workflows, stronger design ownership, and measurable improvements in adoption, usability, and customer confidence.

    Primary role

The AVP, Product Management, User Experience will define and communicate a multi-year product experience vision, principles, and roadmap. The role will establish clear ownership for product experience, prioritize high-usage and high-friction journeys, and align Product, Digital Experience, Framework, Engineering, Automation and AI around shared priorities. This leader will translate customer and market insights into executable product decisions and ensure user-facing capabilities are designed for simplicity, responsiveness, quality, and scale.

    What you'll do

    • Set the UX product strategy: Own a multi-year product experience vision and roadmap that connects market needs, measurable customer outcomes, platform constraints and Odessa's broader product strategy.
    • Own high-impact journeys: Prioritize the most-used and highest-friction workflows using customer feedback, telemetry, product analytics, usability evidence, and commercial impact.
    • Simplify the experience: Reduce unnecessary screens, clicks and context switches; promote task-oriented journeys, progressive disclosure and role-relevant experiences that hide avoidable complexity.
    • Integrate UI, UX, performance and business experience: Treat visual design, workflow design, terminology, responsiveness, and process fit as one product experience, with common outcomes and measures.
    • Lead discovery and product definition: Engage customers, prospects, domain experts, and internal stakeholders to frame problems, define target outcomes, shape requirements and make clear portfolio and sequencing trade-offs.
    • Drive roadmap execution: Convert strategy into sequenced initiatives, business cases, product requirements and release plans; partner with Framework, Engineering and Architecture to balance near-term improvements with foundational platform evolution.
    • Strengthen design ownership: Build a high-performing product and design capability that creates high-fidelity concepts while owning product and domain understanding, product decisions, stakeholder influence and longer-term UX direction.
    • Institutionalize customer-centered practices: Establish journey mapping, prototyping, usability validation, benchmarking, and experience-quality reviews across the product lifecycle.
    • Make prioritization evidence-based: Define telemetry and product analytics for priority workflows, establish adoption and friction measures, and use evidence to guide investment and roadmap decisions.
    • Champion quality by design: Introduce early UX and design-system quality reviews, so experience defects are identified before customer releases, and user-facing quality improves.
    • Influence across the organization: Create shared goals across Product, Digital Experience, Framework, Engineering, QA, Delivery, Sales, and Customer Success; resolve cross-functional trade-offs and communicate decisions clearly.
    • Represent the product experience: Bring a strong product narrative to executive reviews, strategic customer discussions, product demonstrations, and go-to-market planning.

    Basic qualifications

    • 15+ years of product management or related enterprise software experience, including significant senior leadership responsibility.
    • Proven ownership of product strategy, portfolio priorities, and multi-release roadmaps for complex enterprise products or platforms.
    • Strong understanding of user experience strategy, interaction and journey design, design systems, usability research, and product analytics.
    • Ability to connect customer problems, business outcomes, market context, and technical constraints to make clear product decisions.
    • Experience leading cross-functional work across Product, Design, Engineering, Architecture, QA, Delivery, Sales, and Customer Success.
    • Demonstrated success building and leading senior product and design talent and strengthening product and domain capability.
    • Executive-level communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills, with a demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with people who bring different viewpoints.
    • Data-driven approach to adoption, usability, performance, quality, and roadmap impact.

    Preferred qualifications

    • Experience with complex, configurable enterprise applications where scale, performance and domain complexity shape the user experience.
    • Experience in financial services, asset finance, leasing, or lending.
    • Experience establishing telemetry-led product practices and customer-centered design operating mechanisms.
