Role & responsibilities

Engineering Drawings

• Prepare 2D AutoCAD drawings for industrial equipment, machinery, tanks, vessels, heat exchangers, and structural components.
• Develop general arrangement (GA) drawings, fabrication drawings, assembly drawings, and detailed component drawings.
• Prepare piping layout drawings, equipment layouts, and plant arrangement drawings.

Fabrication Drawings

• Prepare detailed fabrication drawings for MS and SS equipment, including plate development, cutting dimensions, nozzle orientations, and support arrangements.
• Prepare drawings for shell-and-tube heat exchangers, economisers, distillation systems, extractors, tanks, and other process equipment.
• Ensure drawings include all necessary dimensions, material specifications, tolerances, and fabrication details.

Coordination with Engineering and Workshop Teams

• Coordinate with design engineers to understand equipment specifications and incorporate design requirements into drawings.
• Work closely with workshop personnel to ensure drawings are practical and suitable for fabrication.
• Clarify drawing-related issues with the fabrication team and make necessary revisions.

Drawing Management and Documentation

• Revise drawings based on engineering feedback and project requirements.
• Maintain proper records of drawing revisions and ensure the latest approved drawings are available to the workshop.
• Prepare and maintain material details, cutting lists, and basic bill of materials (BOM), wherever required.

Quality and Accuracy

• Verify dimensions, quantities, elevations, and equipment interfaces before releasing drawings.
• Follow company drawing standards and ensure accuracy, clarity, and timely completion of assigned work.
• Support project execution by preparing drawings within the required deadlines.
