Autocad Designer

Job Summary

We seek a skilled and innovative AutoCAD Designer to join our design team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in 2D and 3D AutoCAD, as well as a flair for commercial and retail design in the UK and European markets. You would work on 2D and 3D CAD detailed plans and would be an integral part of both the conceptual and final-stage design drafts. You would be responsible for carrying out the complete drawing process. The drawings include conceptual, final fitting and working drawings like manufacture, planning drawings, elevations and sections where required.

Key Responsibilities

• Taking briefs from the sales rep and documenting Minutes of meetings (MOM) of discussions.
• Propose new retail concepts by presenting mood board references.
• Discussing ideas proposed with the sales representative and reaching a desired design layout to process further.
• Creating 2D temp layouts for approval.
• Schedule deadlines for the required drawings and achieve them.
• Liaise with 3D Max designer and help produce 3D rendered presentations.
• Create info legends, detailed elevations and sections when necessary.
• Be able to do final fitting meetings on your own to take the install process further.
• Produce detailed production/manufacturing drawings and help process orders with factories.
• Liaise with local authorities via phone and email regarding the regulatory drawings involved.
• Constantly researching new trends in the UK/European design industry.
• Prepare checkpoints to achieve flawless design drawings.
• Each project involves critical thinking on not just design, hence having joinery/production knowledge would be very good.

Requirements

• Minimum 8-10 years of experience with AutoCAD 2D & 3D
• Able to access MS Office and online tools to create moodboard and able to do presentations.
• If got any other software knowledge it would be added advantage
• Social media editing tools - added advantage
