Associate - Data Engineer

Job Summary

Support the data engineering team by writing ingestion scripts, executing automated data tests, monitoring pipeline schedules, and maintaining BI reports on the Groups cloud data platform.

Responsibilities

• Assist senior data engineers in writing SQL and Python ingestion and transformation scripts.
• Execute automated data tests to support data quality.
• Monitor pipeline job schedules in Apache Airflow and escalate failures and delays.
• Maintain Looker reports and dashboards.
• Support data transformation tasks using dbt on Google BigQuery.
• Help investigate and resolve basic data ingestion issues under guidance.
• Collaborate with the data engineering team, learning and applying data engineering best practices.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience in data engineering or a related technical area.
• Working proficiency in SQL and Python.
• Exposure to Google BigQuery, Apache Airflow, and dbt.
• Familiarity with BI tools such as Looker.
• Foundational understanding of ETL/ELT, data pipelines, and data quality concepts.
