Responsibilities:

Assist the Nursing Superintendent in planning, organizing, and supervising nursing services

Oversee daily nursing operations and ensure quality patient care standards are met

Supervise, guide, and evaluate nursing staff performance

Coordinate duty rosters, staffing schedules, and shift allocations

Ensure compliance with hospital policies, nursing protocols, and healthcare regulations

Monitor patient care delivery and address patient or family concerns

Support implementation of clinical guidelines and best nursing practices

Participate in recruitment, training, and orientation of nursing staff

Maintain discipline, professionalism, and ethical standards among nurses

Assist in performance appraisals and professional development programs

Ensure proper use, maintenance, and availability of medical equipment and supplies

Coordinate with doctors, departments, and allied healthcare teams

Monitor infection control practices and patient safety measures

Prepare reports, records, and documentation as required by management

Support quality improvement initiatives and hospital accreditation processes

Act as Nursing Superintendent in their absence when required
