Job Purpose

Managing Sourcing Operation function in line with business requirements of ensuring On Time In Full woven fabrics (trousers, suits & blazers) efficiently and effectively with MFL quality norms at targeted costs. Supporting Business working capital by improving inventory ,fabric innovation & improving quality of product, VPQI scores & MH post purchase.

Job Context & Major Challenges

LBRD Brands being the top brands in India plays in Men's category of premium & mid segment price apparel market. It operates through various channels (EBO, Retail, DS and Trade). This position has to lead, manage and drive the Woven Fabrics Sourcing Operations effectively and efficiently in line with business requirements Seasonal / Annual Sourcing Planning and ensuring Quality & Cost Effective Sourcing in line with product and category requirements. Effective Vendor development and relationship management is very critical which also requires Technical support to vendors for improving quality levels, efficiency and cost optimization. Another aspect being Continuous Improvement in Sourcing efficiencies and costs.

Major challenges:
1.Handling & managing very Complex mix of products, variety & wide reach of fabric sources from overseas, domestic supplies and special category fabric supplies.
2.Identifying Vertically integrated fabric production units to align to our business-working requirement.
3.Reduce / Maintain the fabric prices in-spite of the growing RM / input costs.
4.Managing Strong Vendor Relationships for mutual growth Information system management practices improvement at vendor locations and linking it to HO Map fabrics trends in the market and identify suppliers globally who have the capability to deliver.
5.To work closely & vigorously with suppliers on process improvements resulting in cost advantage.
6.Maintaining database of potential long-term vendors
