Assistant Manager - Financial Analysis - AgriTech

About the Role:

We are hiring for an Indian full-stack agri-tech platform and digital marketplace that provides farming solutions and agricultural inputs directly to farmers. We are looking for an MBA-qualified Financial Analyst at the Assistant Manager level to join our Finance team. You will crunch large volumes of business data, build and interpret dashboards, and turn the numbers into insights for our Sourcing and Vertical leadership teams. This is a hands-on analytical role, ideal for someone who enjoys digging into data and explaining its business implications.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Analysis & Insights:

- Analyse sourcing, sales, and vertical-level data to track margins, unit economics, cost drivers, and working capital.

- Identify trends, variances, and risks, and present clear, actionable insights.

- Support budgeting, forecasting, and planning cycles with accurate analysis and models.

- Prepare business cases and ad-hoc analyses to support commercial decisions.

Data Crunching & Dashboards:

- Work with large datasets from ERP, procurement, and operations systems; clean, reconcile, and validate the data.

- Build, maintain, and improve MIS reports and dashboards (Power BI / Tableau / Excel).

- Prepare monthly performance reports and interpret them for business teams.

- Ensure accuracy, consistency, and timely delivery of all reports.

Stakeholder Partnering:

- Work closely with Sourcing and Vertical leaders to understand their needs and provide data-backed finance inputs.

- Coordinate with field and regional teams to collect and validate data.

- Align with accounting and controllership teams so MIS reconciles with books of accounts.

Qualifications & Experience:

- MBA in Finance from a reputed institute (CA / CFA / CMA is a plus).

- 4 - 6 years of experience as a financial analyst or in FP&A / business finance.

- Experience in agritech, agri-commodities, FMCG, or supply chain businesses is preferred.

Skills Required:

- Advanced Excel and financial modelling (pivots, lookups, scenario analysis).

- Hands-on experience with Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools; SQL is a plus.

- Strong analytical mindset and comfort with large, messy datasets.

- Ability to explain numbers simply to non-finance stakeholders.

- Ownership, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities independently.

- Telugu language proficiency is mandatory (spoken and written) for interaction with local teams and stakeholders.

- English and Hindi proficiency is an advantage.
