Role Description The Assistant Business Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Surat, responsible for supporting business growth and branch operations. This role typically includes managing customer relationships, assisting in home loan sourcing and processing, and ensuring timely documentation and compliance with company policies and regulatory guidelines. The Assistant Business Manager collaborates with sales and operations teams to achieve business targets, improve customer service, and enhance process efficiency. The role also involves monitoring portfolio performance, following up on leads, and providing market feedback to support strategic decisions. Regular reporting, coordination with internal stakeholders, and participation in local marketing or outreach activities are key parts of the day-to-day responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Strong customer relationship management and service orientation, with the ability to handle queries, resolve issues, and maintain long-term client engagement.
• Experience in sales or business development, preferably in housing finance, banking, or financial services, with a focus on achieving targets ethically and sustainably.
• Knowledge of loan products, basic credit assessment, documentation, and regulatory compliance related to housing finance or retail lending.
• Competence in data handling and reporting, including working with spreadsheets, CRM systems, and branch-level performance tracking tools.
• Effective communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners.
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities to handle multiple cases, follow-ups, and operational tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Bachelor's degree in business, finance, commerce, or a related field; a postgraduate qualification in management or finance is an advantage.
• Prior experience in the Surat market or local language proficiency is beneficial, along with a willingness to travel locally for business needs.
