Analyst - Manufacturing / Operations

ABOUT THE ROLE

J.hirani is seeking a dynamic Analyst – Manufacturing/Operations who can combine hands-on manufacturing expertise with a consulting-oriented approach. The role involves supporting client organizations in improving production efficiency, optimizing manufacturing processes, reducing costs, enhancing productivity, and implementing best industry practices.

The candidate will work closely with client leadership teams, production departments, quality teams, and shop-floor personnel to identify improvement opportunities and execute sustainable operational excellence initiatives.

Qualification

B.E. / B.Tech / Diploma — Mechanical, Production or Industrial Engineerin

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Manufacturing Consulting

• Conduct production audits and process assessments at client facilities.
• Identify opportunities for productivity improvement, cost reduction, and waste elimination.
• Recommend and implement Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, 5S, TPM, and Continuous Improvement initiatives.
• Monitor and optimize daily production activities to achieve output, quality, and delivery targets.
• Analyze production bottlenecks and implement corrective actions.
• Support clients in capacity planning, line balancing, and workflow optimization.
• Prepare diagnostic reports, improvement roadmaps, and implementation plans.

Process Improvement

• Study existing manufacturing processes and recommend best practices.
• Drive OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) improvement initiatives.
• Implement cycle-time reduction and productivity enhancement projects.
• Develop SOPs, work instructions, and process documentation.

Quality & Compliance

• Coordinate with quality teams to reduce rejections and improve first-pass yield.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards.
• Participate in root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action implementation.

Client Engagement

• Interact with client management teams to understand operational challenges.
• Present findings, recommendations, and progress reports professionally.
• Support business transformation and operational excellence projects.
• Conduct training sessions for production and supervisory staff.

Desired Skills

• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and shop-floor operations.
• Experience in Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, 5S, TPM, Six Sigma, or Operational Excellence.
• Ability to analyze production data and prepare management reports.
• Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
• Strong project management and implementation skills.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, ERP systems, and production reporting tools.
