The plant is already running. Come run it.

Our fermentation plant at Tamot near Bhopal is live. Vessels are installed, membrane skids are in place, and batches are going out.

What it needs now is someone senior to own everything after the fermenter. Recovery, throughput, uptime, and cost per kilo, every day, at scale. Not a project on paper. A working plant, and the team that runs it.

You will decide how downstream operations work here, and then you will be accountable for the numbers that come out.

What you will do

• Run day-to-day downstream operations: clarification, membrane filtration, capture and polish, concentration and drying.

• Own batch execution and release against plan, shift to shift.

• Own recovery at plant scale, and close the gap between what the process does in the lab and what it does here.

• Own cost per kilo. Utilities, consumables, membrane and resin life, manpower, losses.

• Lead the downstream team. Shift engineers and operators, hiring, training, rostering.

• Hold equipment uptime with maintenance and engineering. Cleaning, changeovers, planned shutdowns.

• Run contamination control and plant hygiene as an operating discipline, not a document.

• Own deviations, root cause and CAPA, and documentation that survives an audit.

• Specify and commission new downstream equipment as we add capacity.

What you need

• 12 to 15 years in plant-scale downstream or purification operations.

• You have run a department, not only a shift. People, budget, and numbers you were accountable for.

• Hands-on with industrial membrane systems, large-scale chromatography, centrifugation, and drying.

• You have commissioned equipment, and you know the gap between a vendor's performance claim and what the skid does in month three.

• A degree in chemical engineering, biochemical engineering, biotechnology, or equivalent.

• Based in Bhopal, or ready to relocate and work full-time from Bhopal.

Nice to have

• Enzyme, biologics, or food protein manufacturing.

• A dairy or whey plant with large membrane trains. You will know membranes better than most.

• Fermentation-derived products, so contamination control is already instinct.

• Lyophilization or spray drying at scale.

• From Bhopal or Madhya Pradesh.
