Accounts Payable Executive

Role & responsibilities

- Process vendor invoices, verify supporting documents, and ensure timely and accurate payments.
- Manage accounts payable transactions, invoice booking, payment processing, and vendor ledger reconciliation.
- Prepare vendor payment schedules and coordinate with internal teams for approvals.
- Verify invoices for GST compliance, tax applicability, and calculation accuracy.
- Calculate TDS deductions as per applicable provisions and coordinate for timely payments and compliance.
- Maintain records of GST, TDS, invoices, debit notes, credit notes, and payment vouchers.
- Reconcile vendor accounts and resolve discrepancies in outstanding balances.
- Monitor accounts payable ageing and follow up on pending invoices and payments.
- Assist with month-end closing, accounts-related reporting, audits, and statutory documentation.
- Coordinate with vendors and internal stakeholders to resolve invoice and payment-related queries.

Preferred candidate profile

- Practical knowledge of GST, invoice verification, Input Tax Credit (ITC), and GST documentation.
- Working knowledge of TDS provisions, deduction calculations, applicable sections, and compliance.
- Strong MS Excel skills, including VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, SUMIF/SUMIFS, IF formulas, filters, and data reconciliation.
- Good understanding of accounting principles and accounts payable processes.
- Hands-on experience with accounting software or ERP systems such as Tally, SAP, or similar tools.
- Strong numerical accuracy, attention to detail, and organizational skills.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
