Role Description The Accountant role is a full-time, on-site position based in Mumbai. The Accountant will manage daily bookkeeping, including recording transactions, maintaining ledgers, and reconciling bank statements. Responsibilities include preparing invoices, tracking accounts payable and receivable, and assisting with monthly and annual financial reporting. The role also involves supporting tax-related documentation, monitoring cash flow, and ensuring compliance with company policies and statutory requirements. The Accountant will collaborate with management to provide accurate financial data for decision-making and assist with budgeting and cost tracking for the apparel business.
Qualifications

• Strong accounting and bookkeeping skills, including ledger maintenance, reconciliation, and financial reporting.
• Proficiency with accounting software and MS Office tools (especially Excel) for data entry, analysis, and reporting.
• Knowledge of local tax regulations, GST, and compliance requirements relevant to businesses in India.
• Attention to detail, numerical accuracy, and the ability to work with confidential financial information.
• Good communication and collaboration skills to work with management, vendors, and internal teams.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage workload in a fast-paced retail/garment environment.
• Relevant academic background such as a degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.
• Prior experience in accounting within retail, textiles, or manufacturing sectors is an advantage.
