About this role
About Us
Patni Capital is an algorithmic trading firm building and running systematic options strategies for clients across India. We're a growing, tech-driven team, and we're looking for a sharp, detail-oriented Accountant to own our books and compliance.
What You'll Do
• Maintain day-to-day books of accounts in Tally Prime (sales, purchase, journal, bank entries)
• Prepare and file GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B) and reconcile the Tally sales register with GST data every month
• Handle TDS deductions, payments and quarterly returns
• Do bank reconciliations and track receivables and client payments
• Raise invoices and keep client billing records accurate
• Coordinate with our CA for audits, ITR filing and ROC compliance
• Prepare monthly MIS reports and expense summaries for management
• Keep financial documents organised and audit-ready
What We're Looking For
• B.Com / M.Com (CA Inter or CMA Inter is a plus)
• 2–4 years of hands-on accounting experience
• Strong working knowledge of Tally Prime, GST and TDS
• Good with Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, reconciliations)
• Accurate, organised and comfortable working on deadlines
• Exposure to a fintech, stockbroking or startup environment is a bonus
