3D Design Engineer ( Plastic Products & Mold Expert )

Role & responsibilities :

• Own 3D design of plastic products, from concept to production-ready model
• Design phone cases for new phone models within days of their launch
• Design complete injection molds and release data to our in-house toolroom and CNC
• Work with the toolroom from first sample to final approval; fix fit and molding issues
• Prevent defects at design stage: flash, shrinkage, warpage, ejection problems
• Develop new plastic products and accessories beyond phone cases
• Maintain a clean design and mold library for all models

Preferred candidate profile :

• Expert 3D modelling in Siemens NX or SolidWorks (solid and surface modelling)
• Plastic product design: draft, shrinkage, wall thickness, ribs, snaps, undercuts
• Strong knowledge of plastic materials (TPU, PC, ABS, PP) and their molding behaviour
• Expert in injection mold design: core / cavity split, parting line, shutoffs, slides, gating, venting, cooling, ejection
• Mold flow analysis (Moldflow or similar) is a plus
• 2D drawings and 3D data for CNC, EDM and toolroom
• 3D design engineer with at least 3-4 years in plastic products and injection molds
• Mold expert who understands how molds are actually built and run on the shop floor
• Open-minded: willing to try new ideas, new products and new ways of working
