Position Summary Level: Senior Consultant
Work you’ll do: We are seeking an experienced Zscaler Architect / Senior Engineer to lead and support the implementation, configuration, and migration of Zscaler Internet Access (ZIA) and Zscaler Private Access (ZPA) solutions in enterprise environments. This role will help design and deliver Zero Trust access models, modernize remote access, and support migration from legacy VPN and proxy technologies. The ideal candidate brings strong hands-on Zscaler delivery experience, solid network security fundamentals, and the ability to work across security, network, IAM, and endpoint teams. Roles and Responsibilities
- Lead and support implementation, configuration, and migration of Zscaler ZIA and ZPA solutions.
- Assess current-state network and security architecture and design target-state Zero Trust access models.
- Plan and execute migration from traditional VPN, proxy, and remote access solutions to Zscaler.
- Configure and manage security policies, URL filtering, SSL inspection, authentication, forwarding methods, and access controls in ZIA.
- Configure application segmentation, connector deployment, access policies, and user-to-app connectivity in ZPA.
- Integrate Zscaler with enterprise identity and security tools such as Azure AD / Entra ID, Okta, SAML, SCIM, SIEM, EDR, and CASB platforms.
- Troubleshoot user connectivity, performance, and policy issues across ZIA/ZPA deployments.
- Support pilot, rollout, cutover, and post-migration hypercare activities.
- Create technical documentation including architecture diagrams, runbooks, migration plans, and operational handover materials.
- Collaborate with network, security, endpoint, and IAM teams to ensure smooth deployment and adoption.
The Team: Enterprise Security teams embed security in all aspects of digital transformation by securing a client’s “technical backbone” while also enabling secure digital transformation. Services include security architecture, secure development and deployment, end-to-end cyber cloud capabilities, application security, and security for emerging technologies and connected products. Examples of work include Secure by Design, Cloud Security Orchestration & Automation, Core Infrastructure Security, and Secure Software Enablement.
Qualifications Must Have Skills/Project Experience/Certifications:
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in Zscaler, network security, cloud security, or enterprise security architecture
- Proven experience implementing and migrating Zscaler ZIA and ZPA in enterprise environments.
- Strong understanding of Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA), secure web gateways, and remote access transformation.
- Good understanding of routing and switching technologies.
- Experience with proxy technologies, VPN replacement strategies, DNS, TCP/IP, routing, firewall policies, and authentication protocols.
- Hands-on experience with user migration, app onboarding, policy tuning, and troubleshooting in Zscaler environments.
- Experience integrating Zscaler with identity providers and enterprise security ecosystems.
- Ability to translate business and security requirements into scalable technical designs.
- Strong documentation, stakeholder communication, and problem-solving skills.
Good to Have:
- Experience with Zscaler Digital Experience (ZDX) for digital experience monitoring and user troubleshooting.
- Experience with Zscaler Client Connector deployment and endpoint integration.
- Exposure to cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.
- Experience in large-scale enterprise transformation or network security modernization programs.
Education:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field. #Cyber_Enterprise
