Zscaler Delivery Manager

Role & responsibilities

Role Summary
The Zscaler Delivery Manager will lead end-to-end delivery of Zscaler cloud security initiatives for Barclays, coordinating engineering, security, network, infrastructure, application, vendor and customer stakeholders. The role will be responsible for delivery governance, implementation planning, migration, service transition, risk management and operational readiness across Zscaler platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end delivery of Zscaler transformation and implementation programs.
• Manage implementation/migration of Zscaler solutions such as:
• Zscaler Internet Access (ZIA)
• Zscaler Private Access (ZPA)
• Zscaler Client Connector
• Cloud Firewall / Cloud SWG
• Zero Trust Network Access
• Digital Experience Monitoring where applicable.
• Drive migration from traditional VPN, proxy and on-premises security infrastructure toward Zscaler Zero Trust architecture.
• Develop and manage project plans, milestones, dependencies, RAID logs and delivery governance.
• Coordinate Zscaler engineers, network/security teams, application teams, infrastructure teams and third-party vendors.
• Work closely with Barclays stakeholders to understand requirements, dependencies and acceptance criteria.
• Manage change, release, testing, UAT and production rollout activities.
• Ensure appropriate security, architecture and operational governance is followed.
• Manage risks, issues, escalations and remediation plans.
• Track delivery against agreed SLA, KPI, timeline and quality metrics.
• Lead regular governance meetings and provide executive-level reporting.
• Coordinate incident/problem escalation during migration and stabilization.
• Ensure appropriate documentation, knowledge transfer and service transition into BAU operations.
• Manage vendor relationships and hold technical teams accountable for delivery commitments.
• Support continuous improvement of Zscaler services and Zero Trust adoption.

Mandatory Skills

I would look for candidates with:

Delivery / Program Management

• 812+ years overall IT experience.
• 5+ years in technical delivery / infrastructure / network security project management.
• Proven experience managing large enterprise security/network transformation programs.
• Strong stakeholder and vendor management.
• Excellent RAID, governance, reporting and escalation management.

Zscaler

• Strong practical understanding of ZIA and ZPA.
• Experience delivering Zscaler implementations or migrations in large enterprises.
• Understanding of Zscaler Client Connector and Zero Trust architecture.
• Experience with Zscaler policy, authentication, traffic forwarding and troubleshooting concepts.

Networking / Security

• Strong understanding of:
• Proxy
• Secure Web Gateway
• VPN
• DNS
• HTTP/HTTPS
• Firewalls
• Routing
• SASE / SSE
• Zero Trust
• Identity/SSO
• Exposure to technologies such as Palo Alto, Cisco, F5, Netskope, Fortinet, Microsoft Entra ID, Okta would be useful.
