About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Zonal Sales Manager East for a leading engineered building solutions business. The role involves driving regional sales growth, securing large project orders, developing strategic customer relationships and leading a regional sales and business development team.

The business offers pre-engineered buildings (PEB), prefabricated buildings and turnkey engineered building solutions for industrial, warehousing, institutional, commercial, real-estate, Government/PSU and EPC-led projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the regional sales strategy for East India, covering West Bengal, Odisha, Jharkhand, Bihar, the North-East and Sikkim.
• Own regional sales targets, order booking, pipeline development and business growth.
• Identify and develop new business opportunities across industrial, warehousing, institutional, commercial, real-estate, Government/PSU and EPC segments.
• Build and maintain relationships with industrial customers, developers, EPC contractors, architects, project management consultants, structural consultants and institutional decision-makers.
• Drive opportunities from lead generation and enquiry through proposal, negotiation and order closure.
• Lead commercial negotiations and ensure orders meet approved margin, payment and commercial-risk requirements.
• Manage and develop a team of 35 sales and business development professionals, including target setting, performance reviews and market coverage.
• Monitor sales pipeline, order conversion, forecasts, CRM/MIS reporting and lost-order analysis.
• Coordinate with Design, Estimation, Commercial, Manufacturing, Procurement and Projects teams to develop competitive and commercially viable proposals.
• Ensure smooth handover of confirmed orders to execution teams while maintaining customer relationships and supporting repeat business.

Candidate Requirements

• 10 - 15 years of experience in B2B sales, project sales or business development, with substantial direct sales experience in PEB and/or prefabricated building solutions.
• Demonstrated track record of achieving significant sales and order-booking targets in a project-based sales environment.
• Experience handling large-value, long-cycle, techno-commercial sales.
• Strong understanding of East India markets and established relationships with relevant industrial, EPC, consultant, developer or institutional customers.
• Proven experience leading a regional sales or business development team.
• Strong commercial negotiation, account management, forecasting and pipeline management skills.
• Ability to engage senior decision-makers and travel extensively across the assigned region.
• Engineering qualification and/or MBA/PGDM will be an advantage.

Important: Candidates with only technical, design, estimation, project execution or operations experience, without direct PEB/prefabricated-building sales ownership, will not be considered.
