Zonal Manager - Operation

Role & responsibilities

• Develop a strong understanding of the bus industry ecosystem, including operator supply, agent networks, and local ground transportation dynamics.
• Establish and scale the brand across the assigned territory/zone.
• Build and manage a robust network of bus operators and travel agents, while driving brand visibility to generate ticket sales
• Oversee boarding operations and retail sales through travel agents, touts, and walk-in customers, ensuring smooth and compliant boarding procedures.
• Stay updated on travel market trends and proactively identify opportunities to increase market share for buses operating in the assigned territory.

Preferred candidate profile

• Responsible for recruitment, onboarding, and training of bus captains and other allied staff required for bus operations.
• Build and lead a high-performing team with integrity and strong ethical values embedded as core DNA.
• Design and implement systems and processes to manage daily operations escalations with speed, accuracy, and accountability.
• Drive data-based decision making to improve operational efficiency, customer experience, and business outcomes.
