About the Role LSC is seeking an
AR/VR & IoT Simulation Developer to design and develop immersive industrial training applications using Unity. The role is primarily focused on building
VR-based logistics and equipment simulations integrated with physical hardware , such as steering wheels, pedals, gear systems, sensors, controllers, and other IoT-enabled devices. The selected candidate will work on realistic training systems for forklift operations, warehouse activities, dangerous goods handling, equipment safety, and other logistics-related processes.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop immersive AR, VR, and XR training simulations using Unity 3D.
- Create realistic forklift, vehicle, machinery, and warehouse equipment behaviour.
- Implement vehicle physics, steering, acceleration, braking, gear shifting, collision detection, and equipment control systems.
- Integrate physical simulation hardware such as steering wheels, pedals, gear systems, buttons, joysticks, sensors, and microcontrollers.
- Establish communication between Unity applications and external hardware or IoT devices.
- Develop SOP-driven training sequences, instructions, alerts, violations, scoring, and assessment systems.
- Build trainee performance reports and simulation analytics.
- Integrate backend APIs for user data, training records, scores, reports, and application configuration.
- Develop or support multiplayer VR training experiences.
- Implement interactions using XR Interaction Toolkit and OpenXR.
- Configure and optimise applications for Meta Quest and PC-VR platforms.
- Test, debug, profile, and optimise XR applications for stable performance.
- Collaborate with logistics experts, trainers, hardware engineers, UI designers, and 3D artists.
- Support simulator installation, calibration, testing, and troubleshooting when required.
- Maintain clean, reusable, and well-documented C# code.
Required Technical Skills
- Working knowledge of Unity 3D
- Proficiency in C# programming
- Strong understanding of object-oriented programming principles
- Experience with Unity physics, collisions, rigid bodies, and input systems
- Basic understanding of vehicle physics and control systems
- Knowledge of XR Interaction Toolkit
- Knowledge of OpenXR
- Familiarity with Meta Quest or PC-VR development
- Understanding of APIs and backend integration
- Basic knowledge of Git or other version-control systems
- Strong debugging and problem-solving abilities
Hardware and IoT Skills Candidates should have an interest in or basic experience with:
- Steering wheels, pedals, gear systems, and simulator controls
- Arduino, ESP32, STM32, Raspberry Pi, or similar controllers
- Sensors, switches, encoders, buttons, joysticks, and serial communication
- USB HID, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, serial, or network-based hardware communication
- Reading hardware input data and mapping it to Unity controls
- Calibration and testing of physical simulator components
- Basic mechanical, electrical, or control-system concepts
Preferred Skills
- Experience developing forklift, driving, machinery, or industrial simulations
- Knowledge of realistic vehicle physics
- Exposure to AR Foundation
- Experience with Unity Multiplayer, Netcode for GameObjects, Photon, or similar frameworks
- Experience with REST API integration and JSON data handling
- Familiarity with databases, learning-management systems, or reporting dashboards
- Knowledge of performance optimisation for standalone VR headsets
- Experience in industrial safety, logistics, warehouse, or training applications
- Familiarity with 3D modelling workflows using Blender, Maya, or similar tools
Educational Qualification
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Applications, Computer Science, Game Development, XR Development, or a related field Equivalent practical experience supported by a strong portfolio may also be considered.
Experience Requirements
- 1–2 years of relevant experience in Unity, AR, VR, XR, simulation development, game development, or hardware-integrated applications

- GitHub profile containing Unity or XR projects
- Portfolio of AR, VR, simulation, or game-development work
- Demonstration videos of completed projects
- Experience working with VR headsets or physical simulators
- Academic or personal projects involving Arduino, sensors, robotics, or IoT
- Participation in hackathons, game jams, XR projects, or technical competitions
