Workday payroll Functional Consultant

A Workday Payroll Functional Consultant (US/Canada) designs, configures, and optimizes the Workday Payroll module within an organization's Human Capital Management (HCM) system.

Key Responsibilities

System Configuration: Set up pay components, earnings, deductions, gross-to-net calculations, and retro pay rules.

Requirements Gathering: Meet with HR, finance, and payroll stakeholders to translate business rules into system workflows.

Compliance Management: Ensure payroll setups comply with federal, state, and local tax and labor regulations.

Testing & Validation: Execute unit testing, parallel payroll testing, regression testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT).

Cross-Functional Integration: Coordinate with technical teams to integrate payroll with time-tracking, benefits, and general ledger financial systems.

Support & Optimization: Troubleshoot calculation errors, resolve support tickets, and implement semi-annual Workday feature releases.
