Role & responsibilities:

Overall, about 8 years of hands-on development experience in the Wordpress eco system

Experience

• Strong proficiency in WordPress core, PHP, MySQL, HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript
• Experience with custom theme and plugin development
• Familiarity with REST API endpoints from WordPress
• Understanding of headless CMS concepts, using WordPress with a separate front-end
• Experience with front-end technologies like React, Vue, or Angular for decoupled architectures
• Design, develop, and maintain custom WordPress themes and plugins
• Build and manage content using Gutenberg blocks and Advanced Custom Fields (ACF)
• Implement headless CMS setups where WordPress serves as a backend, delivering content via REST or GraphQL APIs
• Collaborate with frontend developers using React, Vue.js, or Angular to integrate with WordPress APIs
• Optimize websites for speed, SEO, accessibility, and mobile responsiveness
• Integrate third-party services (e.g., CRMs, payment gateways, mailing platforms)
• Ensure secure and scalable WordPress environments (including database and file management)
• Manage deployment pipelines and version control using Git.

Additional Qualifications:

• Implement and customize WooCommerce, membership, and multi-language plugins when needed
• Understanding of headless CMS concepts, using WordPress with a separate front-end
• Experience with front-end technologies like React, Vue, or Angular for decoupled architectures
• SEO optimization and structured data implementation
