Wireless Network Security Engineer (L3)

We are seeking an experienced Wireless Network Security Engineer to manage, support, secure, and optimize enterprise wireless infrastructure across a large-scale global environment. The role will focus on wireless network operations, security governance, troubleshooting, and implementation of secure wireless solutions using Aruba and Cisco technologies.This is an offshore-based role supporting global operations from Chennai. The candidate will work closely with network, security, and infrastructure teams to ensure a secure, scalable, and highly available wireless environment.Wireless Technologies

Key ResponsibilitiesWireless Infrastructure Management

• Administer and support enterprise Aruba and Cisco wireless environments.
• Configure and manage wireless controllers, access points, and associated services.
• Perform wireless deployments, upgrades, and migrations.
• Conduct RF analysis, wireless surveys, capacity planning, and performance optimization.

Wireless Security Administration

• Manage and maintain Aruba ClearPass and NAC solutions.
• Implement secure wireless authentication mechanisms using 802.1X, RADIUS, and certificate-based authentication.
• Enforce wireless security policies and access controls.
• Manage guest access, BYOD onboarding, and device profiling.

Monitoring & Troubleshooting

• Troubleshoot complex Layer 2/Layer 3 and wireless connectivity issues.
• Perform root cause analysis for recurring network and wireless issues.
• Monitor wireless performance, client health, roaming events, and security incidents.
• Participate in major incident management and problem management activities.

Security Compliance & Governance

• Ensure adherence to enterprise security standards and compliance requirements.
• Support security audits, vulnerability remediation, and risk assessments.
• Review wireless security posture and recommend improvements.
• Implement security hardening and best practices.

Change & Release Management

• Execute planned changes following change management processes.
• Perform firmware and software upgrades on wireless infrastructure.
• Develop rollback plans and validate successful implementations.

Documentation & Reporting

• Create and maintain High-Level Design (HLD), Low-Level Design (LLD), SOPs, and operational runbooks.
• Produce operational reports, security findings, and capacity planning recommendations.
• Maintain accurate network and wireless architecture documentation.
