About this role
Job Title: Windows Driver Debug & Triage Engineer
Location: Bangalore
Role Overview
- Debugging and triage of Windows device drivers, including Graphics, Camera, Audio, Connectivity, USB TypeC, HID, Power Management, and Platform.
- Responsible for issue analysis and root cause identification.
- Debugging driver issues using WinDbg.
- Exposure to customer issue handling.
Key Skills:
- STLC/SDLC experience: Development, Testing, Debugging, and Triage.
- Bug life cycle experience (Jira, Bugzilla, etc.).
- Log capture, log analysis, and parsing.
- Windows platform knowledge, architecture, WDF understanding, Windows internals, and UEFI.
- Operating system basics and Windows device driver development, debugging, and validation.
- Hands-on experience with Windows debugging tools (WinDbg) and Windows crash dump analysis.
- Board bring-up experience, including integration of flashing images, components, chips, peripherals, and ACPI with the SoC.
- Experience with different versions of Windows OS (Windows 10 and Windows 11).
- Writing test cases and use cases for domains such as Power Management, Multimedia (Audio, Video, Graphics), Connectivity, USB TypeC, Debug & Trace.
Good to Have:
- Pre- and post-silicon debug/test experience.
- Knowledge of Intel x86 and x64 architecture.
- Hands-on experience with Trace32 (JTAG) and WPA.
- Experience with serial log capture and BIOS log capture.
- Driver testing, API testing, tool testing, software testing, product testing, bug fixing, and development.
- System, functional, integration, stress, and stability testing.
- C, Python, and Bash scripting.
