Role Summary:
Responsible for developing, integrating, and debugging embedded WiFi firmware with a focus on security protocols and interoperability in resource-constrained environments.
What Youll Do:
- Develop and integrate WiFi firmware, including drivers and networking stacks (lwIP/Zephyr/TCP/IP/TLS/MQTT) on embedded devices
- Implement and validate WiFi security protocols (WPA2/WPA3-Personal and Enterprise, 802.11w, 802.1X/EAP-TLS)
- Debug interoperability and connectivity issues using wireless packet capture tools and collaborate with field/customer IT teams
What We re Looking For (Must-Haves):
- Proficiency in embedded WiFi firmware development, including driver and wpa_supplicant/hostap integration
- Hands-on experience with WiFi security protocols, association mechanics, and enterprise network environments
- Proficiency in C/C++ and familiarity with assembly language
- Experience with RTOS programming and debugging
- Knowledge of debugging tools and techniques (JTAG, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers)
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and issue tracking tools (e.g., Jira)
- Strong logical, problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills
Good to Have (Optional - only if mentioned):
- Experience with Zephyr RTOS
- Experience debugging AP vendor interoperability (Cisco, Aruba, Meraki, Ruckus)
- Familiarity with enterprise/managed networks (VLANs, RADIUS, captive portals, client isolation)
- Experience with healthcare IT environments
- Understanding of BLE/WiFi 2.4 GHz coexistence and RF fundamentals
- Experience with NXP RW61x, Silicon Labs, or similar connectivity microcontrollers
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree or higher in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
