About this role
Job Summary
We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Wellness Teacher with expertise in Yoga and Mindfulness to conduct engaging online classes for students across different age groups, abilities, and cultural backgrounds. The teacher should be able to create a safe, positive, and inclusive virtual environment that supports students physical well-being, focus, relaxation, and self-awareness.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct engaging and age-appropriate online Yoga and Mindfulness classes for students.
- Teach basic and age-appropriate yoga postures, breathing exercises, stretching, relaxation, and mindfulness practices.
- Plan interactive wellness activities suitable for a virtual classroom.
- Adapt teaching methods according to students age groups, abilities, learning needs, and diverse backgrounds.
- Encourage healthy habits, concentration, self-awareness, discipline, and emotional well-being through appropriate classroom activities.
- Demonstrate yoga practices safely and provide clear instructions during online sessions.
- Maintain a positive, inclusive, and respectful virtual classroom environment.
- Monitor student participation and provide constructive feedback.
- Use digital tools and interactive activities to keep students engaged during online sessions.
- Coordinate with the academic team for lesson planning, student activities, wellness sessions, and school events.
Required Skills Qualifications
- Degree/Diploma/Certification in Yoga, Wellness, Mindfulness, Physical Education, or a related field.
- 1-2 years of teaching experience, preferably in online/virtual education.
- Strong knowledge of Yoga and Mindfulness practices suitable for children.
- Prior experience teaching students from different age groups, cultures, abilities, and learning backgrounds.
- Excellent communication and virtual classroom-management skills.
- Comfortable using Zoom, Google Meet, and other digital teaching tools.
- Patient, energetic, empathetic, and student-focused to create engaging and interactive online wellness sessions.
- Experience in a school or EdTech environment will be an added advantage.
