Role & responsibilities
* Perform Alumino Thermit (AT) welding of railway rails as per approved procedures.
* Prepare rail joints, align rails, install moulds, preheat rails, and carry out welding and grinding operations.
* Inspect weld quality and ensure compliance with RDSO/Indian Railways standards.
* Operate welding equipment, gas cutting, and grinding tools safely.
* Maintain welding records, material consumption, and daily work reports.
* Coordinate with site engineers, supervisors, and track maintenance teams.
* Follow all safety procedures and maintain housekeeping at the worksite.
* Travel to project sites across India as required.
