Role & responsibilities

• Manage daily production activities in the Weld Shop / Robotic Welding section.
• Monitor robotic welding machines, welding fixtures and production lines.
• Ensure production targets are achieved as per the production plan.
• Monitor MIG/spot/robotic welding processes and ensure proper parameters are maintained.
• Handle manpower allocation and optimize workforce utilization.
• Monitor rejection, rework, downtime and production losses and take corrective actions.
• Coordinate with Quality, Maintenance, PPC and Stores for smooth production flow.
• Ensure proper availability of raw material, components, fixtures and tools.
• Maintain production records, daily reports and relevant shop-floor documentation.
• Follow 5S, safety, quality and standard operating procedures on the shop floor.
• Identify process issues and support continuous improvement activities.
• Ensure proper inspection of welded components and adherence to customer specifications.
• Troubleshoot basic production/process-related issues and coordinate with Maintenance wherever required.
