Weigh Bridge Operator

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and manage the electronic weighbridge/weighing system at the project site.
• Record the gross weight, tare weight and net weight of vehicles carrying construction materials.
• Prepare and maintain weighment slips for all incoming and outgoing vehicles.
• Verify vehicle details, supplier details, material details and challan/documentation before weighing.
• Coordinate with Store, Purchase, Security, Accounts and Project teams regarding material movement.
• Ensure that all material entering and leaving the site is properly weighed and recorded.
• Maintain daily, weekly and monthly weighbridge MIS/reports.
• Cross-check weighbridge records with supplier challans, purchase orders and delivery documents.
• Identify and report discrepancies in vehicle weight, material quantity or documentation to the concerned department.
• Maintain proper physical and digital records of all weighment transactions.
• Ensure smooth movement of vehicles through the weighbridge area without unnecessary delays.
• Coordinate with security personnel for vehicle entry and exit verification.
• Maintain confidentiality and accuracy of weighbridge data.
• Ensure proper functioning and cleanliness of the weighbridge equipment and immediately report technical issues.
• Support internal audits and management requirements by providing accurate weighbridge records.
• Follow all company policies, safety procedures and site instructions.

Required Skills

• Good knowledge of weighbridge operations and weighing procedures.
• Working knowledge of MS Excel and basic computer operations.
• Ability to maintain accurate records and MIS.
• Good numerical and calculation skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to identify discrepancies in weight and documentation.
• Good coordination and communication skills.
• Ability to work at a construction/project site.
• Honest, responsible and disciplined approach to work.
