Webmethods Administrator

WebMethods Development and Integration

• 6+ years of extensive experience with webMethods Software AG, particularly versions 10.x and 11.x, including operational procedures and technical processes.
• Hands-on experience designing, developing, building, reviewing, and unit testing webMethods integrations and solutions.
• Mandatory hands-on experience upgrading webMethods environments.
• Strong hands-on experience with webMethods 10.15 and later versions.
• Expert-level proficiency in webMethods components, including Integration Server (IS), Trading Networks, My webMethods Server (MWS), Universal Messaging (UM), Designer, MQ Adapter, JDBC Adapter, Salesforce Adapter, and Optimize for Infrastructure.

2. Administration, Troubleshooting, and Performance Tuning

• Experience performing webMethods administration, troubleshooting, and performance tuning across various components.
• Hands-on experience applying quarterly patches and maintaining webMethods environments. Experience using Command Central for patching, upgrades, and environment management is preferred.
• Ability to troubleshoot integration failures, connectivity issues, and performance bottlenecks.

3. Adapters and Messaging

• Strong hands-on experience with webMethods JDBC, JMS, and IBM MQ adapters.
• Strong understanding of Java Message Service (JMS), publish/subscribe (Pub/Sub) patterns, and real-time messaging systems.
• Experience with file transfer protocols and enterprise messaging solutions.

4. API Integration and Security

• Experience designing and implementing API-led integration architectures using REST and SOAP web services.
• Strong understanding of OAuth 2.0 and API security principles.
• Experience implementing and troubleshooting security protocols and encryption mechanisms, including SSL/TLS, SSH, AS2, AES, and PGP.

5. Programming and Database Technologies

• Working experience with core Java concepts and programming.
• Strong knowledge of SQL, including writing and troubleshooting queries; familiarity with NoSQL technologies is preferred.
• Experience with shell scripting is an added advantage.

6. EDI, Networking, and Connectivity

• Knowledge of Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) standards and related integration processes.
• Experience with networking fundamentals and TCP/IP protocols.
• Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot network-level connectivity issues using command-line utilities and network tracing tools.
• Experience working with file transfer protocols and real-time data exchange mechanisms.

7. Documentation and Collaboration

• Experience documenting webMethods interfaces, integration flows, and technical designs, including architecture diagrams.
• Ability to collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams and take on different responsibilities based on project requirements.
• Strong problem-solving skills, a proactive approach, and a commitment to meeting project timelines and delivery commitments.

Good-to-Have Skills

• Experience with DevOps tools and practices, including Git and Jenkins.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Experience with automated testing and integration testing frameworks.
• Experience leveraging Generative AI tools, such as GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, or similar solutions, to accelerate integration development, troubleshooting, and technical documentation generation.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted documentation and architecture diagram generation
