Marketplace Network is a technology team that builds and maintains automated data pipelines, web scrapers, marketplace websites and client automation systems across several industries, including Australian RV and caravan marketplaces, freight logistics and e-commerce.

About the Role

We are looking for multiple Python Web Scraping & Data Operations Interns to join our team on-site in Erode.

In this hands-on role, you will help build and maintain Python web scrapers while supporting the day-to-day data operations required to keep our pipelines and datasets accurate, organised and reliable.

This internship is ideal for someone who wants practical experience working with live, production-level scraping and data systems rather than focusing only on theory.

Key Responsibilities

Web Scraping

• Write and maintain Python scripts to extract data from websites using Selenium and BeautifulSoup.
• Update and adapt existing scrapers when target websites change their layouts, content or structure.
• Test scraping scripts and help identify and resolve errors.

Data Operations

• Monitor scraper and data-pipeline runs, and report or help resolve failures.
• Clean, structure and organise scraped data in spreadsheets and appropriately organised files.
• Perform data-quality checks to identify duplicates, missing fields, inconsistent formats and broken records.
• Prepare and update data in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets for team review and reporting.
• Track data volumes and pipeline performance, and report any issues to the team.
• Clearly document scripts, data structures and operational processes so they can be reliably used and maintained by the team.

Requirements

• Basic working knowledge of Python.
• Basic Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas, sorting, filtering and general data handling.
• Willingness to learn new tools, ask questions and follow established processes.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Reliability in completing assigned tasks accurately and on time.
• Ability to work on-site in Erode for the duration of the internship.

Nice to Have Not Required

• Previous exposure to web scraping or data handling.
• Familiarity with Selenium or BeautifulSoup.
• Familiarity with Google Sheets.
• Exposure to workflow automation tools such as n8n.
• Basic knowledge of WordPress or a similar content management system.

Duration and Compensation

• This is a 6-month internship and training period. A fixed stipend of 5,000 per month will be provided throughout the 6 months.
