Website Developer with 3+ years of experience in PHP-based website development, technical SEO, structured data, and website optimisation. The ideal candidate should not just execute tasks, but should be able to think independently, suggest improvements, solve website issues, and help build a faster, cleaner, search-friendly, and AI-discoverable website.

Education from a reputed Grade A institution preferred, along with strong hands-on website development experience and proven ability to think independently. The candidate should also be comfortable using AI tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, or similar tools to improve productivity, code quality, content structuring, debugging, SEO implementation, and website optimisation. Key Responsibilities • Develop, maintain, and improve SCIKIQ’s website and landing pages • Work on PHP-based website development and backend/frontend improvements • Create responsive, fast-loading, and SEO-friendly web pages • Implement and maintain technical SEO best practices across the website • Optimise website structure for search engines and generative AI platforms • Implement schema markup and structured data across relevant pages • Test structured data using tools such as Google Rich Results Test and Schema Markup Validator • Manage XML sitemaps, robots.txt, canonical tags, redirects, metadata, and indexing hygiene • Improve website performance, page speed, Core Web Vitals, mobile responsiveness, and crawlability • Work with marketing and content teams to create SEO/GEO-friendly pages, blogs, landing pages, and product pages • Support enriched search results through proper structured data implementation • Monitor and fix website errors, broken links, indexing issues, duplicate pages, and crawl-related problems • Use AI tools to speed up coding, debugging, page creation, content structuring, and optimisation workflows • Continuously suggest website improvements from a user experience, SEO, and AI discoverability perspective Required Skills • 3+ years of hands-on website development experience • Strong working knowledge of PHP • Good understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and responsive web development • Experience with CMS platforms such as WordPress or similar systems • Ability to build and maintain landing pages, website sections, forms, and content pages • Strong understanding of technical SEO • Knowledge of GEO — Generative Engine Optimisation — and how websites should be structured for AI-led discovery • Experience with schema markup and structured data implementation • Understanding of structured data vocabulary and formats such as JSON-LD, Microdata, and RDFa • Ability to test and validate structured data using relevant tools • Knowledge of sitemaps, robots.txt, canonicalisation, redirects, indexing, crawlability, and search visibility • Understanding of enriched search results and how structured data can improve search appearance • Ability to optimise website content and pages for Google Search, AI search engines, and generative AI responses • Basic understanding of website analytics, Google Search Console, Google Analytics, and SEO audit tools • Ability to debug technical website issues independently AI Tools & Modern Workflow The candidate should be comfortable using AI tools such as: • Claude • ChatGPT • Gemini • Cursor • GitHub Copilot • Perplexity • Other AI coding, SEO, and content optimisation tools The candidate should know how to use AI responsibly for coding support, debugging, SEO checks, schema generation, content structuring, page planning, and faster execution.
