Web Developer (SDE II)

The role We're hiring a Web Developer at the SDE II level to own meaningful parts of our React-based web platform end to end. You'll take features from problem statement to production, make architecture and performance calls that hold up at scale, and raise the bar on code quality for the people around you. This is a hands-on engineering role for someone who already writes production React well and is ready to lead workstreams, not just tickets.

What You'll Do

• Build and maintain high-quality, performant web applications using React.js, Next.js, and the modern frontend ecosystem.
• Own features end to end — from technical design and implementation through testing, rollout, and monitoring in production.
• Make and defend architecture decisions around component structure, state management, and rendering strategy for web at scale.
• Drive frontend performance: optimize load times, rendering, and Core Web Vitals across a large, high-traffic surface.
• Partner with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to integrate APIs and ship seamless, reliable user journeys.
• Review code and set standards — help level up the team's practices around testing, accessibility, and maintainability.
• Debug and resolve complex production issues, and put in place the instrumentation to catch them earlier next time.

What We're Looking For

• 3–5 years of professional experience building production web applications, with strong hands-on React.js expertise.
• Solid command of JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, and Next.js.
• Experience with state management (e.g. Redux or equivalent) and building reusable, well-structured component systems.
• A track record of owning features end to end and shipping to a large user base with a focus on performance and quality.
• Strong fundamentals in debugging, code review, and writing maintainable, well-tested code.
• This is a web role — web React experience is required (React Native / mobile-only backgrounds are not a fit for this position).

Nice to have

• Experience optimizing Core Web Vitals or working within a design system at scale.
• Exposure to server-side rendering, edge rendering, or micro-frontend / monorepo setups.
