WAVE Acoustic 1D CAE Engineer

Job Description

Role & Responsibilities:

• Develop and validate 1D acoustic simulation models using Ricardo WAVE.
• Perform simulation and analysis of exhaust systems, mufflers, resonators, and aftertreatment systems.
• Predict and optimize SPL, Transmission Loss (TL), Insertion Loss (IL), pressure pulsation, and backpressure.
• Correlate simulation results with test data and support model calibration activities.
• Work closely with design, testing, CFD, and NVH teams.
• Support product development and performance optimization activities.
• Generate technical reports and recommendations based on simulation results.

Preferred Candidate Profile:

• B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical or Automobile Engineering.
• 3+ years of experience in WAVE / Acoustic / NVH simulation.
• Strong knowledge of Gas Dynamics, Thermodynamics, Fluid Mechanics, Powertrain, Intake and Exhaust Systems.
• Experience with Ricardo WAVE, 1D CAE, NVH, Acoustic Analysis.
• Exposure to Muffler and Resonator design optimization preferred.
