Water Bottle Filling Machine Mechanic

Role & responsibilities

• Experience: 35 years of relevant experience preferred.
• Education: ITI / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical qualification preferred.
• Language: good English communication is an advantage.
• Preferred Background: Mineral water plants, bottled drinking water factories, beverage manufacturing units, and FMCG production facilities.

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on water bottling machines and production lines.
• Troubleshoot mechanical faults in bottling, filling, capping, labelling, and packaging machines.
• Repair and replace mechanical components, including bearings, belts, chains, gears, motors, pumps, valves, and conveyor systems.
• Maintain and repair automatic and semi-automatic filling machines.
• Diagnose faults in bottle rinsing, filling, and capping systems.
• Maintain conveyor belts, bottle feeding systems, and packaging equipment.
• Carry out machine adjustments and changeovers according to bottle sizes and production requirements.
• Identify the root causes of machine breakdowns and implement corrective measures.
• Perform routine inspections, lubrication, and servicing of machinery.
• Coordinate with production operators to ensure uninterrupted production.
• Maintain maintenance records and report recurring mechanical issues.
• Follow workplace safety, hygiene, and food-grade manufacturing standards.
