Warehouse Supervisor - Receiving & Dispatch

Location: Blantyre, Malawi

Visa & Tickets: Sponsored and arranged or reimbursed by the employer

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise receiving, inspection, storage, picking, packing, and dispatch of stock.
• Verify quantities and conditions of incoming and outgoing goods against purchase orders, delivery notes, and dispatch documents.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure stock movements are recorded promptly using inventory systems and Microsoft Excel.
• Monitor stock levels and coordinate replenishment requirements with procurement and relevant departments.
• Organize warehouse space to ensure efficient and safe storage of materials.
• Coordinate deliveries and dispatches with suppliers, transporters, customers, and internal teams.
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies involving stock quantities, damaged goods, or documentation.
• Ensure proper documentation for all receipts, transfers, returns, and dispatches.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports on inventory, receipts, dispatches, stock movements, and discrepancies.
• Supervise warehouse personnel, allocate duties, and monitor work performance.
• Ensure compliance with company procedures, health and safety requirements, and stock-control policies.
• Conduct and support periodic physical stock counts and reconcile differences.

Desired Candidate Profile

• Education: Diploma or Bachelors Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Experience: 3 to 15 years of hands-on experience in warehouse operations, inventory control, and logistics within retail, wholesale, or distribution sectors (electrical and hardware experience is a strong plus).
• Technical Proficiency: Strong working knowledge of ERP systems and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially MS Excel) for inventory tracking and reporting.
