About this role
Job Summary: The WMS Analyst will act as a functional and technical resource for on-going support of the Warehouse Management System (WMS). This candidate will work closely with warehouse operations, the software development team, and the rest of the WMS team to configure and troubleshoot these software applications to support day-to-day operations, achieve project objectives, support new client implementations, and improve efficiency within the organization.
Essential Job Functions · Configure WMS and TMS systems to support operations and client implementations. · Be a subject matter expert on the WMS software. · Customize the WMS to comply with client requirements. · Intermediate SQL querying to research and resolve issues. · Monitor systems and resolve issues as they arise. · Utilize help desk software, screen sharing, email, and phone communication to track and report issues. · Serve as a liaison between non-technical users and the software development team. · Provide training for employees on procedures and systems. · Frequent written and spoken communications with clients. · Remain current on new WMS functionality and industry trends · Work with WMS vendors to identify and resolve issues, and support these vendors as they add new functionality to our systems. · Collaborate with other functional areas to identify opportunities to improve our custom software and make recommendations to the software development team.
Key Qualifications and Requirements: · Strong problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills required. Problem solving should be your strongest attribute. That is the key to succeeding in this role. · Strong understanding of warehouse operations. · Hands-on Warehouse Management System (WMS) experience required. · Prefer specific experience with Manhattan Scale WMS. · Experience writing SQL queries required (MS SQL) . · Experience reading and writing stored procedures, triggers, and other database objects. · Experience working with Barcode printing software (Bartender, etc.) a plus. · Experience working with Reporting software (SSRS, Crystal, etc.) a plus · Generally tech-savvy and able to quickly pick up on new software packages and learn how to do some light IT helpdesk tasks, such as installing a printer and utilizing remote desktop. · Strong written and verbal communication skills. · Works well independently and in a team environment with little direct supervision. · Strong organizational & time management skills. Must be able to multi-task, prioritize effectively, and change direction on short notice in an effective manner.
