Warehouse Assistant (Supply Chain)

Role Purpose:

Independently manage end-to-end inbound and outbound warehouse logistics operations, ensuring the efficient receipt, storage, inventory control, and dispatch of products. Maintain accurate inventory visibility through regular stock reconciliation and ERP-driven processes while enabling seamless pan-India distribution. Ensure compliance with warehouse SOPs, optimize storage utilization, coordinate with cross-functional teams, and support timely order fulfillment with high levels of accuracy and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise all warehouse activities, including receiving, storing, and dispatching materials.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and conduct regular stock audits.
• Ensure proper storage of goods to prevent damage or loss.
• Monitor stock levels and coordinate with the procurement team for replenishment.
• Prepare and verify Goods Receipt Notes (GRNs), delivery challans, and other warehouse documentation.
• Coordinate timely loading and unloading of materials.
• Ensure orders are picked, packed, and dispatched accurately and on time.
• Lead and supervise warehouse staff, assigning daily tasks and monitoring performance.
• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety standards in the warehouse.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and health & safety regulations.
• Investigate inventory discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
• Coordinate with production, sales, logistics, and transport teams for smooth operations.
• Monitor warehouse equipment and arrange maintenance when required.
• Generate daily, weekly, and monthly inventory and warehouse performance reports.
• Optimize warehouse space utilization and improve operational efficiency.

Essential Skills:

• Inventory and stock management
• Knowledge of warehouse operations
• Basic computer skills (MS Excel, ERP/WMS software)
• Material handling knowledge
• Communication and coordination skills - Knowledge of inventory control methods (FIFO, LIFO, FEFO)
• Knowledge of safety standards (especially for batteries & electrical equipment)
• Vendor and transporter coordination
