UNI Scans & Labs is looking for a creative, innovative and technically skilled Creative Designer / Video Editor to produce engaging video content for digital marketing, brand awareness, healthcare education and advertising campaigns.
The candidate will be responsible for producing 70% original video content and 30% AI-generated video content. The primary focus will be on real-world video production, including branch shoots, diagnostic equipment, home sample collection, staff activities, healthcare awareness and promotional campaigns. AI video tools will be used to enhance creativity, improve production efficiency and develop additional campaign variations.
The objective is to build a strong visual identity for UNI Scans through authentic healthcare storytelling and engaging video content across digital platforms.
2. Key Responsibilities
A. Original Video Production 70% of Workload
The primary responsibility is to plan, shoot and edit original video content featuring real people, locations, services and activities.
- Shoot original videos at UNI Scans branches, laboratories and other approved locations.
- Produce Instagram Reels, Facebook videos, YouTube Shorts and promotional videos.
- Capture real diagnostic equipment, laboratory processes, sample collection activities and branch facilities.
- Create home sample collection videos showcasing the booking process and collection experience.
- Shoot staff introductions, employee interviews, behind-the-scenes videos and brand storytelling content.
- Produce health package promotions, service explainers and preventive healthcare awareness videos.
- Record interviews with authorized doctors, healthcare professionals and subject-matter experts.
- Handle camera operation, smartphone videography, lighting, framing, audio recording and basic production setup.
- Develop video concepts, scripts, shot lists and storyboards before filming.
- Edit footage using appropriate transitions, colour correction, sound design, subtitles, graphics and background music.
- Capture multiple formats and variations from each shoot to maximize content output.
- Ensure appropriate consent and authorization before filming employees, patients or other identifiable individuals.
B. AI Video Creation — 30% of Workload
Use AI tools to produce supplementary video content, creative concepts and campaign variations.
- Create AI-generated healthcare awareness videos and visual explainers.
- Produce AI-assisted promotional videos for home sample collection and preventive health packages.
- Use text-to-video, image-to-video and AI-assisted editing tools to develop engaging short-form content.
- Create conceptual visuals for topics that cannot easily be filmed in real-world settings.
- Use AI-generated backgrounds, animations, visual effects, transitions, voiceovers and subtitles where appropriate.
- Develop multiple video variations for advertising campaigns and creative testing.
- Use AI tools to improve editing speed, repurpose existing footage and generate supporting visual assets.
- Verify AI-generated visuals for medical accuracy, realistic equipment representation and brand consistency.
- Clearly avoid presenting AI-generated healthcare scenarios as actual patient experiences or real UNI Scans facilities.
- Follow company policies for data privacy, consent, copyright and approved AI tools.
C. Video Editing and Post-Production
- Edit raw footage into polished, engaging and platform-ready videos.
- Create compelling opening hooks within the first few seconds.
- Add subtitles, captions, text overlays, logos, calls to action and approved brand elements.
- Maintain suitable pacing, sound quality, colour consistency and visual storytelling.
- Deliver videos in the required aspect ratios, including 9:16, 4:5, 1:1 and 16:9.
- Prepare short-form advertisements, educational videos, testimonials and longer promotional videos.
- Maintain organized project files, footage archives, audio assets and final exports.
D. Creative Strategy and Content Development
- Work with the marketing team to develop monthly video content calendars.
- Translate campaign objectives into creative concepts and video scripts.
- Develop video ideas around health awareness days, seasonal campaigns, festivals and package promotions.
- Create content tailored to local audiences across Chennai and other UNI Scans service locations.
- Develop original hooks, storytelling formats and creative approaches instead of relying on repetitive templates.
- Monitor video performance and suggest improvements based on views, retention, engagement and enquiries.
E. Brand and Healthcare Communication
- Follow UNI Scans' approved logo, colours, fonts and visual identity.
- Ensure all medical information, service claims and package details are approved before publication.
- Protect patient confidentiality and obtain appropriate permissions for real-world filming.
- Use only authorized footage, music, stock assets, AI tools and other creative materials.
- Submit all videos for approval before publishing or using them in paid campaigns.
3. Original vs. AI Video Workload
Content type
Allocation
Examples
Original video production
70%
Branch shoots, staff videos, equipment footage, home collection, interviews and real service demonstrations
AI-generated / AI-assisted video
30%
Conceptual explainers, AI animations, image-to-video, generated scenes and creative variations
The 70:30 ratio refers to the overall video production workload, not necessarily the number of videos. The final output mix may vary by campaign requirements.
Example: For every 10 comparable production assignments, approximately 7 should focus on original video production and 3 on AI-generated or substantially AI-assisted content.
4. Required Technical Skills

- Practical knowledge of AI video generation and AI-assisted creative workflows.
- Healthcare, hospital, diagnostics or pharmaceutical content experience is an advantage.

The workload should maintain the 70:30 production principle across the monthly plan. A complex shoot, interview or longer campaign film may count as a larger production assignment than a simple Reel.
