About the role
Basslila is looking for a video editor who can turn raw tutorial/talking-head footage into polished, aesthetically strong videos — clean pacing, strong visual identity, and a "premium" feel, not just cuts and captions.

Responsibilities

• Edit long-form YouTube videos (tutorials, case studies, masterclasses) and Shorts with strong visual pacing and rhythm
• Build a consistent, recognizable visual style across all content (color grading, typography, transitions, motion graphics)
• Add clean text overlays, subtitles, and on-screen graphics that match brand aesthetic
• Sound design — music beds, SFX, clean audio mixing/leveling
• Repurpose long-form content into Shorts without losing visual quality
• Work closely with the founder to hit brand tone (Hindi/English mix content, fast-paced, high-retention style)

Requirements

• 3–5 years editing experience, strong portfolio required (please attach reel/links)
• Proficient in Premiere Pro and/or DaVinci Resolve; After Effects for motion graphics
• Strong eye for color grading, typography, and visual composition — this is the core skill we're hiring for
• Understands retention-driven pacing for YouTube (hooks, jump cuts, pattern interrupts)
• Comfortable working with Hindi-language content
• Can turn around edits on a consistent weekly schedule

Nice to have

• Experience editing for education/tutorial or music/creative content channels
• Basic motion graphics/kinetic typography skills
• Understanding of YouTube Shorts-specific editing (vertical framing, fast hooks)
