About
At Ashta Tech Automation, we build machines that earn their keep. Based in Hingna MIDC, Nagpur, we are an engineering-first deep-tech company working across three verticals: Smart Packaging Automation, DefenceTech, and subsea robotics under our Jalayantrika division.
Our flagship PackPro pick-to-conveyor robots run on 50+ packaging lines at Haldiram's, Bikaji and other leading Indian FMCG companies that installed base is the engine that funds our harder, longer-cycle work. On the defence side, we have active engagements across iDEX, DRDO and NIIO programmes spanning precision munition support, AI-driven gun-area reconnaissance, 360 vehicle awareness for protected mobility, perimeter security, ammunition demilitarisation and counter-mine ground vehicles. Ashta is developing the Jalayantrika a work-class underwater ROV rated for 100 kg payload and 3,000 m operating depth with mentorship from Kotak BizLabs Cohort 2 and the Indian Navy ecosystem.
We were selected for Sisu Launchpad Helsinki 2026 and are mapping European expansion alongside our Indian scale-up. The team is small and growing fast across electromechanical design, embedded systems, computer vision, AI/ML, manufacturing engineering and field commissioning. Our engineers routinely move between packaging robots, defence systems and underwater drones often in the same quarter and the work is real, the customers are demanding, and the machines actually ship.
