Roles and Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough medical underwriting assessments for life insurance applications, considering factors such as age, health status, occupation, and medical history.
  
• Evaluate policy issuance risks by analyzing applicant data and making informed decisions on coverage eligibility.
  
• Develop expertise in various types of policies (e.g., term life, whole life) and stay up-to-date with industry trends to improve underwriting skills.
  
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company guidelines throughout the underwriting process.
  
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to resolve complex underwriting issues and provide guidance on policy interpretation.
  

Desired Candidate Profile

• 5+ years of experience in Life Insurance Underwriting or related field (Medical Underwriting).
  
• Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy (B.Pharma) or Master's degree in Pharmacy (M.Pharma) from a recognized institution.
  
• Strong understanding of insurance policies, claims processing, and underwriting principles; ability to apply this knowledge effectively during assessments.
  
• Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail; ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
