Role & responsibilities

• Manage and maintain all workshop tools, equipment and Special Service Tools (SST).
• Issue and receive tools to/from technicians and maintain accurate tool movement records.
• Maintain tool inventory, stock registers and tool availability to ensure smooth workshop operations.
• Ensure proper maintenance, storage and safe handling of workshop tools and equipment.
• Coordinate tool calibration and periodic inspection of torque wrenches, diagnostic equipment and other precision tools.
• Monitor damaged, missing or unserviceable tools and arrange repair or replacement as required.
• Maintain records of new tool purchases, replacements, warranties and service history.
• Coordinate with the Workshop Manager and Procurement team for tool requirements and purchases.
• Ensure compliance with OEM workshop standards, safety procedures and tool management processes.
• Conduct regular tool audits and stock verification and report discrepancies to management.

Preferred candidate profile

• Diploma / ITI in Automobile, Mechanical Engineering or related field with 3-7 years of experience in an automotive workshop.
• Experience in authorized car dealerships / premium or luxury automotive workshops is preferred.
• Good knowledge of SST, workshop tools, diagnostic equipment, tool inventory, calibration and maintenance.
• Strong skills in tool management, stock control, documentation and coordination with technicians and workshop teams.
