Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain PostgreSQL databases across development, test, and production environments.
• Monitor database performance and optimize SQL queries, indexes, and execution plans.
• Configure and maintain replication, load balancing, and high-availability solutions.
• Implement backup, restore, and disaster recovery strategies.
• Perform database patching, upgrades, migrations, and refresh activities.
• Troubleshoot database performance, connectivity, locking, and replication issues.
• Manage user accounts, roles, permissions, encryption, and database security.
• Automate routine DBA activities using Shell, Python, Ansible, or Terraform.
• Support cloud-based PostgreSQL deployments and migrations.
• Collaborate with application teams on database design and performance improvements.
• Participate in incident management, root cause analysis, and on-call support
