Position: Structural Engineer AutoCAD Plant 3D, Autodesk Inventor
Industry: Power Generation
Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled Structural Engineer with expertise in AutoCAD Plant 3D, Autodesk Inventor to design, develop, and optimize structural layouts for a power generation unit. The role involves creating detailed 3D models and 2D drawings, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver safe, efficient, and cost-effective designs.
Key Responsibilities

• Develop and manage structural layouts using AutoCAD Plant 3D, Inventor for power generation facilities (Heat recovery steam generator).
• Design and detail foundations, steel structures, pipe racks, equipment supports, and platforms.
• Perform structural analysis and load calculations to validate designs.
• Prepare construction drawings, fabrication details, and material specifications.
• Ensure compliance with international codes and standards (ASME, JIS, IS codes, etc.).
• Conduct design reviews, clash detection, and model validation.
• Support project execution by providing technical guidance during construction and installation.
• Maintain documentation and ensure quality assurance throughout the design lifecycle.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in mechanical/civil Structural Engineering
• Masters degree preferably ME/MS in Structural Engineering
• 7 to 10 Yrs of experience in structural engineering for industrial/power projects.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Plant 3D, AutoCAD Structural Detailing
• Strong knowledge of structural design codes and engineering standards.
• Experience in power generation plants, oil & gas, or heavy industrial projects.
• Ability to interpret P&IDs, equipment layouts, and piping drawings.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
