Walk-in || Sr. LiDAR Engineer

Position - Sr. LiDAR Engineer

LiDAR Engineer with experience in Aerial LiDAR processing, 3D features extraction, LOD modeling, and 3D Mesh generation. The candidate should have experience supporting large-scale mapping projects using TerraSolid, Spatix and MicroStation, ensuring the delivery of high-quality geospatial outputs.

Key Responsibilities

• Process and classify Aerial LiDAR point cloud data.
  • Generate DTM, DSM, contours, and elevation products.
  • Perform feature extraction of buildings, roads, vegetation, and utility assets.
  • Develop 3D city models (LOD1, LOD2) from LiDAR and aerial imagery.
  • Create and edit 3D Mesh models for Digital Twin and Smart City applications.
  • Conduct QA/QC and accuracy assessments on LiDAR and 3D deliverables.
  • Collaborate with GIS, Photogrammetry and BIM teams to meet project requirements.
  • Ensure adherence to project specifications, quality standards, and delivery timelines.
  

Required Skills

• 3-8 years of experience in Aerial LiDAR processing and 3D mapping projects.
  • Hands-on experience with TerraSolid, Spatix and MicroStation.
  • Strong knowledge of LiDAR classification, editing, and feature extraction workflows.
  • Experience in LOD modeling (LOD1/LOD2) and 3D Mesh generation.
  • Understanding of photogrammetry terrain modeling, and topographic mapping.
  • Knowledge of coordinate systems, map projections, and geospatial standards.
  • Good analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.

 Qualification

• Bachelor's Degree in Geomatics, Surveying, Civil Engineering, Remote Sensing, GIS, Geography, or a related discipline.
  

Preferred Skills

• • Experience working on large-scale mapping projects.
  • Knowledge of ArcGIS Pro, FME, Bentley or Auto desk platforms.
  • Basic macros scripting/automation skills will be an added advantage.
