Walk-in || Site Supervisor

Role & responsibilities

Site Supervision and Execution

• Supervise day-to-day construction and site activities as per approved drawings and project specifications.
• Ensure work is carried out according to the project schedule and instructions from the Site Engineer or Project Manager.
• Monitor the progress of civil, structural, electrical, plumbing, and other assigned works.
• Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and work teams to ensure smooth execution.
• Ensure proper utilization of manpower, materials, tools, and equipment.

2. Manpower Management

• Allocate daily tasks to workers, technicians, and subcontractors.
• Monitor worker attendance, punctuality, productivity, and discipline.
• Ensure sufficient manpower is available to meet daily work targets.
• Guide workers and resolve routine site-related issues.
• Report manpower shortages and performance issues to the concerned manager.

3. Quality Control

• Ensure all work is executed according to approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
• Inspect ongoing work and identify defects or deviations.
• Ensure proper use of construction materials and adherence to prescribed methods.
• Coordinate with the quality control team for inspections and corrective actions.
• Maintain records of inspections, defects, and rectification work.

4. Safety and Compliance

• Ensure workers follow site safety rules and company policies.
• Check the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), including helmets, safety shoes, gloves, and harnesses where required.
• Identify unsafe conditions and report hazards immediately.
• Ensure good housekeeping and safe storage of materials.
• Report accidents, near misses, and unsafe practices to the safety officer or project management team.

5. Material and Equipment Management

• Monitor the receipt, storage, handling, and consumption of materials.
• Verify delivered materials against delivery notes and approved requirements.
• Maintain records of material usage, stock levels, and wastage.
• Ensure tools, machinery, and equipment are used properly and maintained.
• Inform the concerned department about material shortages or equipment breakdowns.

6. Work Progress Monitoring

• Prepare daily work plans and assign activities to the workforce.
• Monitor actual progress against planned targets.
• Identify delays, site constraints, and work-related challenges.
• Submit daily progress reports to the Site Engineer or Project Manager.
• Assist in achieving project milestones within the approved timeline.
